Improvised music in every sense, sustained by numerous influences and a rhythmic bond, developed over the years by two musicians with singular backgrounds through their musical experiences together. Unclassifiable, contemporary sounds, Oriental rhythms, gentle touch on the strings, scratching on the drumheads, haunting melodies, supercharged percussion... The encounter between different identities, cultures and easthetics truly makes all the richness of Jazz.
The performance takes place as part of the exhibition "PARADE" proposed by the MuCEM, which gathers model boats in a wonderful imaginary parade, witness of fabulous journeys: leaving the port of Marseilles to travel the Mediterranean Sea beyond Suez, these ships contributed to the wealth of the Marseilles territory through commercial exchanges, technical development and cultural mix. Immediate boarding all summer long...

Jazz, gospel & blues concert as part of the Festival "Arty Jazz".

Singer and gospel choirmaster born in Senegal, Aïda Diene is known from the Rennes musical scene. Gifted with an exceptional voice, trained in gospel choirs, backing vocalist for Stevie Wonder during his latest tour, part of the "Gospel for You" collective, opening gigs for Kellylee Evans, Zara McFarlane... Eloquent, inventive and sensitive, Aïda Diene revisits the gospel and jazz repertoires including French chanson: she succeeds in creating the synthesis between her African roots, her blues influences and the unique rendition of her jazz repertoire.

To bring the season to a close, Le JAM invites you to share an evening mixing music and fine food: on the cooking side staged by the friend Don Carlo, great initiator of our taste buds and transalpine ambassador of this attractive culinary philosophy which knows so well how to marry flavours and substances, on the music side orchestrated by the insatiable drummer Ahmad Compaoré, a strong leader of collective dynamism and a musician of genuine encounters. Don't resist the temptation of a surprising and tantalising experience, where unlikely flavours and new sounds will switch on all your senses!
